City Art Rotterdam is the heart of all the applied work Chris Ripken has realized in the outdoors. Chris was contracted by the municipality of Rotterdam, housing associations, community organizations, individuals and schools. The projects are all realized together with locals. This is based on the philosophy that if people may create something in their own neighborhood, this makes the environment owned instead of anonymous. In the immediate vicinity of his studio some works can be seen on a tour with Chris.
